Our Mission: To promote plein air painting in the State of Washington by providing painting, learning, and exhibiting opportunities.

  • Spring in the Arboretum

The first day of our April 26-27 paint-out at Seattle Arboretum started out cool and cloudy. Six or seven of us met by the lagoon near Foster Island and spread out to paint. As the day progressed, the weather warmed, a few more artists joined us and we had a productive day. In the afternoon many of us went up to Azalea Way. Trees and flowers were blooming, the sun was shining and conditions were simply perfect. On Saturday a small group met to paint the UW botanical gardens and fields. Many thanks for Sue Thim and her delicious cookies for making it a wonderful weekend of painting.
